Five hundred classics, customs, American cars and motorcycles fill the Polegrove on August bank holiday Monday — the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club's annual fundraiser.

Bexhill-on-Sea staged Britain's first motor races along its seafront in 1902, and the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club keeps that heritage running with its annual bank holiday show on the Polegrove. Around 500 vehicles fill the recreation ground — classics, American cars, customs and modifieds, plus classic motorcycles — alongside more than 50 trade stands and food stalls, a dog show and live music from Bexhill Radio.
Gates run 10am to 4pm, entry is £5 with under-16s free, and the flat seafront-edge ground makes it an easy wandering afternoon. Bexhill is thirty-five minutes from Rye, at the end of the August bank holiday weekend.

The Polegrove is a thirty-five-minute drive from The River Haven, and the show lands on the final day of Rye's jazz festival — stay riverside for the bank holiday weekend, catch the music on Sunday, and drive over for the cars on Monday morning.
