Founded in 2012 and now in its 14th year, the Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival pulls in over 10,000 visitors across the August bank holiday weekend. Seven headline concerts at St Mary's Church sit alongside a free fringe of jazz, blues, soul and roots in pubs and on street stages — internationally acclaimed names beside emerging talent. The Buttermarket at the Town Hall hosts the free outdoor programme; the fringe stretches as far as The William the Conqueror at Rye Harbour.
