This friendly comfortable 3 Star Hotel of 22 en-suite rooms in the Ancient Town of Rye is situated on the Strand Quay over looking the River Tillingham.

We have superior garden rooms with private patio for double occupancy, these are also disabled friendly. All our superior rooms have a river view and we offer standard double, twin or family rooms. All our rooms have hospitality trays, flat Screen TV with freeview, telephone and we offer Free Wifi throughout the hotel.

Our conservatory Waterside restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, from our interesting and varied menu, using local produce and suppliers. Al-fresco dining is available.

We provide disabled friendly accommodation and have ample parking.

We offer 2 and 3 day value breaks and getaways, bed and breakfast, and dinner at very attractive rates.

All our prices are “per room” and include a breakfast of your choice.

All our rooms have flat screen Tv’s with freeview, hospitality trays and hairdryers.

We can offer a family room for two adults and two children at a small extra charge. If you require a travel cot please just ask.

Our cancellation policy is a 50% charge unless cancelled 24 hours prior to your stay or at the discretion of the hotel management.

Single night Friday & Saturday supplement of £10 will be charged when applicable.

Our garden rooms, with private patio area, are ideal for breakfast overlooking the river Tillingham.

Disabled Access

The front entrance is approached from the car park either via steps or ramp. The front door has wheelchair access without a threshold. Reception can be accessed via a hatch.

Internally rooms are approached on the ground floor by ramp and the first and second floor by stairs. Rooms 1 & 2 have some disabled facilities and also a patio area that is accessible to wheelchairs.


The waterside restaurant offers quiet picturesque surroundings in the comfort of the conservatory restaurant or on the terrace.

Our Extensive menu is cooked to order with local produce from Sussex and Kent and is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarians and children catered for at any time. Other dietary needs can be catered for with advance notice.

The centre of this medieval town is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Rye has a variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants together with such features as the Landgate Tower built in 1325 as a defence against the French. Virtually the whole of the citadel area is a conservation area and includes churches, the Town Hall and a myriad of buildings of historical interest.

The Hotel is situated on the main A259 trunk road from channel ports. Access is also from local train and bus stations and is on a bus route.

Accommodation parking is from the A259 to the parking area in front of the premises that provides ample parking for each room. Additional parking is provided in the adjacent carpark.
