A shorter, cheaper sibling of Full Throttle Boat Charters' Seal Safari, the Rye Bay Boat Trip is a 30-minute high-speed RIB ride out of Rye Harbour. The boat heads down the channel and out to sea, swings past the long sweep of Camber Sands, and runs out to the Fairway buoy two miles offshore before powering back. Same boat, same crew — but in and out in half an hour, and at a price that suits a short stop or a first taste of the sea.
The pontoon is a five-minute drive from The River Haven. Park at the hotel, drive over for the trip, and be back at the river inside the hour — pair it with a walk on the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve if you fancy a longer day at the harbour.
Stay at The River Haven
The boats leave from Rye Harbour, a five-minute drive from The River Haven. Park at the hotel, pop over for a 30-minute blast on the water, and be back for a riverside lunch.
